Erfreuliche Klasse Kippenberger: Worm Works (28 May-27 July 1992).

Seven black & white illus. Square 4to, printed wrappers, staple-bound. New York: David Nolan Gallery, 1992.

A rare Kippenberger exhibition catalogue, produced in an edition of ca. 600 copies, according to Koch. Among North American institutions, WorldCat locates only six copies. The first and last leaves are pale yellow, the rest of the catalogue is printed on glossy stock.

“In 1991/1992 Martin Kippenberger taught at the Gesamthochschule Kassel. Worm Works was published to accompany an exhibition of ‘Kippenberger’s delightful class’ at the David Nolan Gallery, New York, from 28 May to 27 July 1992…

“The catalogue shows six wormlike little bronze casts by his students Claudia Böttcher, Hans von Sichart, Ina Weber, Olaf Hackel, Stefan Federler and Sven O. Ahrens, as well as a musical score, ‘Glühwürmchen Idyll’ [Glowworm Idyll] from the opera ‘Lysistrata.’”–Koch.

In fine condition. Designed by Jens Jahn (Munich).
