The handmade maquette for the artist’s 1973 Billeder af Feldmann, incorrectly hand-titled by the artist “Bildere af Feldmann” on the upper cover, containing dozens of clipped & pasted images and text from Feldmann’s previous "Bilderheften."

An unrecorded unique book by Feldmann (1941-2023), used as the maquette for the rare 1973 catalogue of his "Bilderheften" published by Forlaget Sommersko, and printed in an edition of 540 numbered copies. Greta Kühnast’s Feldmann catalogue lists many one-of-a-kind books, but this one was not known to her. In the present volume, the artist has laboriously excised illustrations and text from his earlier photobooks and adhered them. The cardboard used for the binding resembles the scarce portfolios that Feldmann constructed for groups of his "Bild/Bilder" books. This handmade binding is a superb and previously unstudied example of the artist’s early work.
In near fine condition; a couple scuffs to the binding. All of the affixed images and text used to mock-up the final printed version are present. We also offer this with a fine copy of the printed book, with a foreword by Per Kirkeby. Both volumes with the graphic bookplate of voracious Danish collector John Hünov (1936-2017). The printed one comes with a newspaper clipping about the final book laid-in.
