Catalogue de bonnes Estampes…Planches gravées, et quelques Dessins, Provenant de Mr. ***. Par F. L. Regnault-Delalande. Cette Vente se fera le Mercredi 7 et le Jeudi 8 Avril…

24 pp. 8vo (207 x 131 mm.), modern cream cloth-backed marbled boards, title on spine. Paris: Félix & Regnault-Delalande, 1824.

A very scarce auction catalogue issued by the prolific expert Regnault-Delalande (1762-1824). Lugt is able to identify the seller only as a “Grabit” or “Grabiet” from Lyon. 111 lots, including prints by Bervic, Desnoyers, Johannot, Massard, Morghen, Regnault, Rembrandt, Tardieu, Villamena, Wille, etc. There are also four original engraved plates offered, one of which was executed by J. Massard. The schedule of vacations is found on the final page.

Very good copy of a rare catalogue, with sporadic foxing. With the amusing engraved bookplate of [H]enry [Pannier] (1853-1935), the Parisian art dealer and collector of early art sale catalogues, on the front paste-down, and stamp of the Bibliothèque Heim on verso of title. This copy is addressed to “Mr De Montval / rue de Miromenil / no 12,” who was a print-dealer, on the title-page.
