Poster: Posenenske: 4 und 6 Drehflügel (13 March-15 April 1968).

Black & white illus. Large folded poster, horizontal & vertical folds for mailing. Frankfurt: Galerie Loehr, 1968.

The rare poster for Posenenske’s final solo exhibition in Germany, she discontinued her art practice shortly thereafter. WorldCat locates no example in North America.

“Posenenske exhibits Series E in a solo exhibition…[4 and 6 Revolving Vanes], at Galerie Dorothea Loehr. A structural frame, either square or triangular in section, with moveable sheet-aluminum or pressboard panels, Series E would be the last of Posenenske’s works to be realized. Like Series D and Series DW, the room-like structures with moveable doors or panels of Series E come in two sizes and can take a number of sculptural formations according to the choices of viewers, within the limits imposed by their design. An exhibition announcement features images of the sculptures photographed in an industrial setting, presumably the site of their fabrication. At the opening, gallerist Dorothea Loehr — dressed entirely in white — emerges from inside the closed panels of the large Series E.”–Charlotte Posenenske: Work in Progress, p. 216.

In fine condition; a small tear starting at one of the folds.
