The extremely scarce card announcing Konrad Fischer’s very first exhibition, the presentation of a site-specific sculpture by Andre (b. 1935). The gallerist simply sent Andre a plane ticket and the sculpture was fabricated on sight with locally sourced materials. Inside the card is a diagram of Andre’s resulting work, 5 x 20 Altstadt Rectangle. WorldCat records a single example of this folding card, at the Museo Reina Sofía.

Ruhé writes about this exhibition: “On the occasion of the exhibition, the book 1 step – 100000 steps is published. The text is produced on a computer of the Mathematisch Centrum in Amsterdam. During the exhibition, the first 42 pages of the computer text are displayed on six narrow tables joined together. In addition there is an explanatory text by Brouwn. Previous publications by Brouwn are displayed on a separate table.”
