First edition, and a very handsome set with the arms of Pope Clement XIV on covers, of the first bio-bibliographical guide to the writers of Ravenna; about 2500 works by more than 600 authors are included. Ginanni (1698-1774), the learned Italian bibliographer and historian, was a professor in Florence and then in Ravenna where he developed a great knowledge of Italian history and writers. He formed an important collection of books and medals and was a member of many academic societies.
