Scarce exhibition catalogue for Molinier’s 1956 show at the Surrealist gallery A L’Etoile Scellée. This is a rare instance when the gallery marked a show with an exhibition booklet, most of its exhibition materials are single-sheet flyers, cleverly designed to imitate the artists’ works. The present catalogue is filled with reproductions of Molinier’s works in the text and larger images. André Breton authored the catalogue essay, and afterwards there is an informative biographical note. The final page has a check-list of the 18 paintings exhibited. In fine condition.
