Ken Friedman Rubber Stamps (4-29 November 1995).
Many photocopied illus. Unpaginated. 4to, plastic spiral-bound, transparent plastic covers and printed & stamped covers. San Francisco: Stamp Art Gallery, 1995.
The rare Stamp Art Gallery exhibition catalogue on Ken Friedman (b. 1949) and his rubber stamp works, one of 50 numbered copies. This is one of the gallery’s largest catalogues, and the assembled essays provide an authoritative survey of the artist’s career and significance for Fluxus and stamp/mail art. Much of the catalogue bears photocopied reproductions of correspondence and Friedman’s stamp. Our copy has been inscribed by Bill Gaglione to John Held Jr., who wrote the insightful introduction.
