An important Stanley Brouwn (1935-2017) publication that is now quite scarce; printed in an edition of 500 numbered copies. This book serves as the essential introduction to the artist’s famed this way brouwn series — initiated in 1960 — in which Brouwn solicited passers-by to draw directions on a sheet of paper, which he then stamped and labeled his own work. Reproductions of 49 drawings are presented within.
