Rare catalogue, in poster format, of Ruscha’s photographic artist’s books; WorldCat records just the copy at the RKD in The Hague, although we know of several copies in American institutions. Most examples that we have seen are cut into two horizontal rows, the present is intact as it was originally printed. This copy seems to have been sent to Europe because some of the books have had their prices updated, possibly in Dutch guilders. Ruscha’s first eight books are depicted, with information on the price, edition size, measurements, binding, etc., along with his most recent productions — Crackers (1969) and Real Estate Opportunities (1970) — that have been stamped in a blank box in the bottom right. The edition size of Various Small Fires, has been amended to account for the re-printings that Ruscha undertook, and the price has been lowered from $25.
A near fine copy; inoffensive wrinkling.
