Five black & white illus. Illustrated flyer, folded for mailing. Düsseldorf: Konrad Fischer, 1970.
Flyer distributed for Richter’s debut presentation with Konrad Fischer’s gallery. The two had a difficult friendship stretching back to their time as students at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf. With Sigmar Polke, the three then started the Capitalist Realism movement in 1963. Richter (b. 1932) went on to have six exhibitions with Fischer.
The flyer has five small images of the artist's paintings and a complete listing of the pictures selected for the show, with their catalogue raisonné numbers. Printed on Fischer’s letterhead, it also lists the other artists that Fischer represented at the time, including LeWitt, Sandback, Ryman, Bochner, Darboven, Palermo, Polke, the Bechers, and “George + Gilbert.”
In fine condition.
