Le Tresor de l’Abbaye Royale de S. Denis en France; qui comprend les Corps Saint & autres Reliques précieuses qui se voyent tant dans l’Eglise, que dans la Salle du Trésor.

Woodcut coat-of-arms on title, decorative headpiece & one woodcut floor plan. 16 pp. Small 8vo, disbound loose sheets. Paris: J. Chardon, 1733.

Very rare edition of this guide to the famous church of Saint Denis north of Paris. WorldCat locates no copy of this edition in North American collections. A place of pilgrimage, St. Denis holds the remains of most of the French kings who reigned between the 10th and 18th centuries. This work lists the kings, queens, saints, and regents interred within, paired with concise biographies. Several relics and architectural features of the basilica are also detailed. The woodcut floor plan shows the church’s chevet and altar.

A good copy of a rarity; some minor dampstaining to the corners throughout and small tear to a corner of the final leaf, not touching the text.
