A scarce sale catalogue of an artist’s personal collection; this copy is addressed on the title-page to the famous art collector Cardinal Fesch (1763-1839). Kymli (ca. 1748-ca. 1813), the court painter of Bavaria, constituted a choice collection of pictures by painters such as Caravaggio, J. Asselijn, N. Berghem, S. Bourdon, A. Brauwer, L. Carracci, Champaigne, J. van Goyen, Hoet, Holbein, Dujardin, Kalf, Miel, Molnaert, C. Poelenburgh, J. Ruysdael, Schedoni, Tiepolo, J. Vernet, Vien, etc.
175 lots. For each attributed painting, a concise description and measurements are provided. In the Avertissement, Regnault-Delalande states that the pictures will be sold according to the attributions under which Kymli originally purchased them and are not subject to return.
In very good condition, title-page a bit soiled. In the characteristic binding of the Bibliothèque Heim, along with the library’s stamp on verso of title.
