Vorhut aus dem Hinterland.
Illus. throughout. 104 pp. 4to, pictorial softcover, title on spine. Bremen: Neuen Museum Weserburg Bremen, 1992.
An invaluable and rare exhibition catalogue on Jürgen Wesseler’s intrepid Kabinett für aktuelle Kunst Bremerhaven, a non-commercial gallery in northern Germany that was active from 1967 to the early 2000s. There are installation photographs for many of its most famous exhibitions and interviews with artists who had exhibited there, including Lawrence Weiner, Franz Erhard Walther, and Andreas Slominski. With essays by Claudia Meier (“Zwischen Kunst und Publikum”) and Hanne Zech (“Vorhut aus dem Hinterland”).
A fine copy. More
